Lucas Faria de Sá Tucker

Lucas Faria de Sá Tucker is a Physics and Music Technology major with a minor in mathematics. Music has been a part of his life from a young age, and he still actively engages in it with his songwriting and participation in two collegiate a cappella groups, The Unisons at Northeastern and Pitch Slapped at Berklee. Lucas has a background in classical piano, but most of his current involvement with music is in pop, folk, and R&B spaces. Some of his current top influences include Jazmine Sullivan, Yebba, Renée Rapp, Victoria Monét, and Jacob Collier. His focus on vocal music in recent years was the predominant motivation behind his capstone research project, titled "An Acoustic Analysis of Extended Vocal Techniques in Singing and Beatboxing". One of Lucas' compositions was recently accepted to this year's International Computer Music Conference, where it will be played in Seoul, South Korea.
